You should consider the total value of your assets in determining how much liability coverage to purchase. In other words, if your assets are valued at $100,000, you should purchase at least that much in liability coverage to protect you in the event you cause an accident that injures one or more people whose injuries have a value of over $100,000. Liability coverage is typically written in a split form. For example, the minimum required coverage limits in Georgia are $25,000\/$50,000\/$25,000. This translates to $25,000 coverage for bodily injuries per individual claimant \/ $50,000 total coverage for bodily injuries to all claimants in a single accident \/ $25,000 coverage for damage to the claimant\u2019s property.<\/p>\n<p>Please note none of these coverages provide you with any source of recovery \u2013 they are solely meant to provide a means of recovery for the person(s) NOT at fault.
