The Younger Lawyers Division of the State Bar of Georgia has existed for more than 70 years to inspire young legal professionals in a positive way. Each year, the YLD is involved in a variety of events for to fundraise and give back to the metro-Atlanta community. On February 25, the YLD will celebrate it\u2019s 11th<\/sup> Annual Signature Fundraiser \u2013 Carnival for Casa. The event will benefit the Georgia Court Appointed Special Advocates, Inc. (Georgia CASA). Jones & Swanson will partake as one of the sponsors of this event.<\/p>\n

When the YLD was first created, all State Bar members 36 and younger were included automatically as members. Later, membership changed so that it no longer considers age, but number of years admitted to the bar. Those with less than three years of bar admission are automatic members. The YLD is supported by the Supreme Court, State Bar of Georgia, the State Bar\u2019s Executive Committee and Board of Governors.<\/p>\n

Our very own Attorney Andrew Jones<\/a> served as President of the YLD from 2003 \u2013 2004 and Attorney Chase Swanson<\/a> served as a YLD Litigation Committee member. Events and outreach of the YLD is important to Jones & Swanson because it helped to better establish our very own experts throughout their careers.
