Each year, Super Lawyers announces a list of Georgia attorneys for two lists: Super Lawyers and Rising Stars. The purpose of these awards is to recognize lawyers who have distinguished themselves in certain legal areas of practice. We are pleased to announce that Jones & Swanson\u2019s very own Attorney Andrew W. Jones has been named a Georgia Super Lawyer again for the year of 2015. Mr. Jones has been voted a Super Lawyer each year since 2009, and received Rising Star acknowledgement in 2005 and 2007 as well. We are pleased that Andrew\u2019s hard work in the legal field has paid off once again.<\/p>\n
Rising Stars lists are meant to acknowledge attorneys who have been practicing for less than ten years and fall below the age of 40 that are expected to make a name for themselves in the legal field. These winners are typically active in their legal community and show promise for bright careers.<\/p>\n
The award of Georgia Super Lawyer is among the most sought-after and notable legal titles in the legal field. Being awarded the title of Georgia Super Lawyer shows that you have \u201cdemonstrated excellence in the practice of law\u201d. Less than five percent of the state\u2019s population of lawyers is awarded this title each year.<\/p>\n
The Super Lawyers rating service considers outstanding attorneys from over 70 practice areas. Peer recognition, professional achievement, and legal activity are just a few things considered in the nomination process. Once peer nominations and evaluations are considered, independent research is performed to evaluate each attorney\u2019s selection status. When the final decisions have been made, the selected list of Super Lawyers will be included in Georgia\u2019s Super Lawyers Magazine in March, as well as Atlanta magazine.<\/p>\n
