Attorney Andrew Jones is well known in the Cobb County community for representing victims injured when involved in automobile wrecks across the state of Georgia. While multiple-vehicle crashes can be extremely dangerous, those involving pedestrians walking near vehicles usually result in more severe injuries. In December of 2011, a crash involving a pedestrian and a moving vehicle occurred at Town Center Mall in Kennesaw, Georgia<\/a>. A 79-year-old woman was walking to her vehicle in the parking lot when a vehicle backing out of a space struck her in the right leg. Following the incident, the victim was taken directly to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital and later required knee replacement surgery.<\/p>\n

Fortunately, the victim contacted Jones & Swanson to request aid in gaining compensation for her injuries. Because the driver of the vehicle failed to maintain a proper lookout, Attorney Andrew Jones brought forth an injury claim. Like in many cases similar to this in which an elderly victim is injured, there was pre-existing pathology in the woman’s knee. The opposing party attempted to blame the injury on this pre-existing condition, but Mr. Jones was able to use a doctor’s statement to prove that this was untrue. The knee replacement surgery would not have been necessary had the victim not been involved in a pedestrian crash<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Fortunately, Mr. Jones was able to receive the maximum limits from the liability carrier. The claim was ultimately settled<\/a> for $177,500. This amount was deemed satisfactory by the client and she was able to use the funds for her expenses.<\/p>\n
